Army equipment breaches human rights

This interesting piece from the Guardian about "British soldiers [being sent] out on duty with defective equipment may breach their human rights." as some old duffer judge puts it. They're pretty quick to come up with stuff like this - but when the perfectly in order equipment tears an Iraqi child in two, thereby breaching one or two of thier human rights, nothing is said and it's white washed (like the Hatditha massacre were the US soldiers involved in butchering 24 civilians got away with it).

Sure, soldiers have human rights - the best way to protect them is not to send them on illegal, suicidal wars of aggression.
